Winter
In winter Ugii Lake freezes thick and the shore in front of the camp becomes a festival ground. At Ugii Winterland 2026, ice sculptures glowed in colour all night, children rode the ice slide, and the lake hosted shagai flicking on the ice, skating races, horse-drawn sleighs and horse-breaking shows, with dancing in the big tent after dark.
In winter the camp opens only for the ice festival. Its tsomtsog gers, houses and hotel rooms have floor heating, so they stay warm on the coldest days. Winter stays are booked by phone.

About us
Since 2006 Ugii Dalai Resort has welcomed travellers to share Mongolian customs, culture, nature and history, and to introduce Ugii Lake. It sits on the lake's south-eastern shore, 350 km from Ulaanbaatar, with 24-hour security.

Ugii Lake is a Ramsar-listed wetland. Because we work on its shore, we try to tread lightly.
Wastewater goes through the Astra 50 treatment plant, so none reaches the lake untreated.
Guests meet herders' traditions — horse sleighs, shagai flicking, horse breaking — at the camp's games and festivals.
24-hour security and a clean, comfortable compound.
